Let's talk Impeachment/Last mtg of 2019!

The public impeachment hearings of President Trump began today and it feels that it took a long time, though with President Nixon it took two years to launch the Watergate Hearings. That is difficult to imagine. So much to watch, talk and think about in the coming days and we look forward to sharing together at our meeting next Tuesday, with each other and our speaker. This is also our final meeting of the year. We will communicate via email prior, but when we return in January, we will begin preparations for our local and national is hard to believe that it will be 2020!

We look forward to seeing you next Tuesday when we are joined by...

Tony Smith
UC Irvine Political Science
and Law Professor
who will discuss Impeachment,
its current status and what lies ahead.

Tony is a fabulous speaker and so engaging...he visited us once before and we so enjoyed our time with him. Tony is the author and co-author of numerous books including

Gerrymandering in America: The House of Representatives, the Supreme Court and the Future of Popular Sovereignty (Cambridge University Press), 2016. Tony earned his Ph.D at UC San Diego and his law degree from the University of Florida.

Dear DemOC PAC Members and Friends,

Activism Update

A note from our activism chair Julie Tapp:

Kentucky has a new governor, and he's a DEMOCRAT!!

As you have undoubtedly know, Andy Beshear defeated the GOP incumbent last Tuesday by more than 5000 votes in state that Tump won in 2016 by 30 points! WE WON!!

Kudos and thanks to everyone who wrote 500 postcards to Kentucky Democrats via
DemOC PAC!!  According to OC Organizing Crew leader, Cate Hardesty, "Boone County, where 75% of our 9500 postcards went, had a 10 point BLUE increase!! MSNBC can’t believe it, and it looks like Bevin is going to contest the race based on Boone, LOL!! I am so proud of ALL of us!! It was truly a group effort. THANK YOU ALL!! THANK YOU!!"

DemOC PAC and Orange County makes a difference again!!!!
